Comments
Comments: There is still a LOT of snow and a fair amount of ice. Monorail around Lonesome Lake, and then about halfway up from the hut you will need microspikes--which you will take on and off at least a dozen times. Expect to travel slowly, to slide a lot, to posthole a bit, and again, lots of putting spikes on and then taking them off.

Frankly, it's a tough trail to hike right now. The sun doesn't hit a lot of it, and there is still a lot of melting to do. In all honesty, if you can hike something else at the moment, I would do so and let this melt out.
