A mellow walk up to Oak Hill from downtown Washington; I'd never done this approach before. Once past the shelter, this side of the hill has been extensively logged but the trail is never difficult to follow.
The only muddy stretch was right along the brook at the start. Otherwise the trail was bone dry.
Since my last visit, it looks like additional logging has happened around the summit, which has really opened up the views. Just super.
The NH500 register, while in a plastic bag, had gotten soaked at some point. The note pad was pretty much crumbling and will need to be replaced. |
