Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: Log over the river on Dicy’s was easy for me and my dog
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Some blowdowns and duck unders - don’t remember exactly where
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: My dog handed the Blueberry Ledge scrambles wonderfully but she’s very agile - I had to lift her up once or twice
Bugs
Bugs: Not until the last couple miles on Dicy’s mill, then the black flies tried to get a ride home in my car
Lost and Found
Lost and Found: I lost a new favorite pair of Knockaround sunglasses - tortoise shell frame with green lenses just above the Rollins trail and Dicy’s junction where I stopped before continuing on to Pasconaway - note to everyone - don’t use your chest strap to hold glasses then remove your pack! (& if by chance they were found, email me?)

Comments
Comments: Blueberry ledge trail was gorgeous - Dicy’s Mill was too - both had minimal snow and ice (patches above 3300’ maybe?) and mostly dry except for long stretches on the bottom of Dicy’s that were fine with waterproof socks/shoes, ledges were mostly bare but some ice made me decide to go down Rollins and attempt Pasconaway, but that trail is a messy unstable monorail most of the way across & I apologize to any hikers who heard my screams and swears during my posthole party. It was so intense I gave up trying to summit Pasconaway for my Spring list and my dog’s 48. I am done with snow! And maybe also with Rollins trail - both these peaks are gorgeous and don’t need to be packed into one hike to double bag! Next week should at least melt the lingering snow…?
