Down low there were alot of puddles and running water. I encountered the first ice about 3 miles up blueberry ledge. The ledges were mostly bare rock. I had no issues climbing up them. The rollins trail had a stable monorail covered with a layer of wet sticky snow. This made it difficult to get traction. It was same on the passaconaway summit loop (west side). I used microspikes only. Snowshoes would have been useless. |
