Comments
Comments: Lincoln Woods is mostly dry, some mud. Black Pond Trail is muddy in that spot about a 1/4mi below the pond and for the first 100 yards of the herd path, otherwise dry. Lincoln Brook trail is mostly dry, some nice muddy spots and wet areas, occasional patchy monorail, most prevalent around the 2nd crossing. Brutus is dry and snow free most of the way up with minor patchy monorail beginning about 3200'. Spikes went on at 3500', a little ways up Owls Head Path above the top junction with Brutus then stayed on till about the same point on descent. Semi stable monorail, easy to walk around for a good chunk of the way between 3500' and reaching the ridge. Across the ridge to the summit cairn was rough with some balance beam work and getting reacquainted with the ground a couple times. Straightforward descent after navigating down the short stretch of slippery soft monorail, and cold rain, yay!
