Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: Avoided the first two crossings of the Little River due to iced rocks from splash over. The upper crossing of the Little River accomplished on fallen trees and dry rocks.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Trails in generally good condition. On the official trails I only recall one minor fallen tree. The bypass trail between the first and second crossings of the Little River had some small fallen trees which presented no problems. There were two short section of the North Twin Trail which were damaged by Irene and were marked off by pink flagging. These areas were easy to go around.

Comments
Comments: The trails had some icy areas but it is possible to get to the summits of both Twins with bare boots however some hikers may chose to use microspikes in some stretches of icy trail.

Great views from both the ledge viewpoints on North Twin and from the open summit of South Twin. Many friendly hikers on the trail today.
