| Parking/Access Road Notes: |
I parked at the Adventist Church on King Street as noted in the MSG Trail Guide. The grounds maintenance manager and his wife were there in the afternoon, they said hikers are always welcome to park there, use the bathrooms (will be open in a few days), and refill water.
A family had parked their SUV partly on the road opposite the driveway that takes you to Oak Hill (I met them as I was hiking up and they were hiking down). I wouldn't recommend this. There's not a big shoulder there and 2 tires were still on the blacktop. Parking at the Adventist Church parking lot added only one additional mile round trip. You don't want to be that guy. |

Carried out an ancient LLBean water bottle near Jackson. Either it was designed to look retro, or should've been in a museum. |

| Comments: |
I went to Healey Hill first, passing by all the posted properties. The last one is just a driveway that's numbered "1021." Just beyond that is a small, unposted opening where I left the road. Very short ascent to the summit where I found the jar and register placed there in 2016. I descended the same way, picked up the MSG going south to the summit of Jackson Hill, returned to the car, resupplied at the car, left the car at the parking lot and hiked north on King Road/Faxon Hill Road/MSG Trail to Oak Hill, and hiked back to the car. Trails are completely free of ice/snow. |
