 | Comments: |
Surprisingly, the trail was in good shape with minimal mud to the 2nd water crossing (sm waterfall)… the long traverse before the switchbacks was snow-free with good footing (no side-hilling)… the spikes went on shortly after this crossing (~3K’).. the monorail was hard and supportive and had a recent thaw/freeze.. the summit cairn had a light glaze but is now fully visible… Sealskinz, rain pants & jackets, and waterproof gloves were the uniforms of the day…and our hands-free umbrellas for this wide trail and road walk |
