Just a few cars in the liberty springs trailhead. I think the weather: cloudy + misty + cold + spring conditions discouraged people from hiking |

Conditions will likely change with the snow/rain forecast for the next few days. But for records, today the monorail was firm and stable. The sun did not come out and it was relatively chilly, so melting snow was not an issue. Put dem microspikes on and you will conquer the monorail. Snow is only found towards the summit. Water crossings are manageable and it is nice to hear the strong current of the cascades. No view today, Mt Liberty was in a cloud. But the fog did produce some nice misty forest scenery. |
