| Water Crossing Notes: |
Levels were moderately high today and a couple crossings required an inch or two of water over my boots but I have short legs that were made for riding in airplanes, not rock leaping. MVPs of the day were my waterproof socks! |

On my way down South I picked up a pair of black New Balance liner gloves. Looked like they had been there for quite some time. Left them at the kiosk. |

Posting mostly for the lost and found since conditions will change with tomorrow's storm, but I donned spikes around 2/3 of a mile in. A number of open wet patches at lower lying areas around Cedar Brook and even some heading up the Loop trail. Monorail was firm enough on this 40ish degree day to support my petite frame so the snowshoes stayed on my pack today. Monorail is narrowing in spots and sometimes elevated but nothing like the Death Rail of previous winters that were much snowier. Mixed conditions heading up North including a couple icy sections but there are enough trees to make them pretty straightforward. Much more consistent snow cover heading down South and a good amount of nice steps in the snow so it's clockwise for the win. |
