Comments
Comments: Trail going up blurry ledge trail was clear 2/3rds of the way up. We hit snow and ice before the ledges that was manageable to go around. We were fortunate that on Rollins (between the summit of whiteface and the junction of dicey mill snow was still solid but as the day got warmer you it was getting juicier out there). We only needed spikes for that. For passaconaway I’d suggest doing an out and back of dicey mill - we did the loop and that was…a posthole, slushy, squealing adventure. Going down DMT was pretty clear. Beast of a hike but beautiful. Saw 6 people and 1 doggo. I rated it 3 because it’ll be back up to it’s rock star status once the melt happens. Good luck if you are venturing up there during shoulder season. Oh, no black flies
