Less than an inch of new snow on the trail and temps never rising above freezing today, so there was not a lot of mud. Some running water on the trail down low. A little drifting of snow,especially above treeline, but not significant. Barebooted up with good footing. Wore spikes down from Madison hut. Ice hidden under the snow at spots. Mostly avoidable, but hard to see. Bright sunshine and hardly any wind made this an amazing day out. Congratulations to Wolfgang! |
