Most people didn't use snowshoes today but I found them very helpful between Starr King and Waumbek. The monorail is not supportive. Microspikes were fine on the ice above 3000 ft and at lower elevations there was no snow, only significant mud. I found lots of small pieces of trash, be on the lookout for stuff that shows itself as the snow melts. |
