The monorail up to Pierce was fine - I did see post holes and admittedly made a couple myself, but overall it was very doable. With such warm weather I’m sure this will all change. I found that the worst stretch was all the mashed potatoes type snow from Pierce to Eisenhower. Those conditions were significantly worse on my return. If there’s one part of the hike snowshoes would have been helpful, it was that. I barebooted Eisenhower and Monroe no problem. Beautiful day!! |
