Glorious weather day but what a mix of trail conditions. Tucks is snow packed still almost down to the base and was in good condition even mid afternoon. Lions head winter starts off unstable monorail and then the steep sections range from slush to hard frozen. Up to Lions head was mostly dry rock with ice and intermittent slush snow. Up to the summit cone was slush snow with some nasty spruce traps coming alive. We used spikes, crampons, and snowshoes through the day. Tucks was unbelievably busy with spring skiing. Great day in the Whites
