Part of Old Cherry Mtn road is still closed for season. But, the first 1/2 mile or so is residential and plowed. Drove to the gate, parked on the side of road. |

Sharing this view point with others today. Walked past gate and up Old Cherry Mtn rd.; becomes part of Carroll snowmobile trails in a few hundred yards. Trailhead is between campsites 3 & 4, w/distinctive tree stump on the opposite side of the road. Some of the trail had a nice firmly packed trail (beginning hundred yards), but most of it was pretty much a stream filled with running water. Tried to stay on sides to avoid most of water. Section through soft woods was icy. The view point was still covered in snow. |
