 | Comments: |
Ammonoosuc Trail was hard packed. Since we started early, everything went well going up. Microspikes all the way. The trail between Washington and Clay was a melting pot of ice, snow, water, mud and rocks. We had to take off our microspikes a couple of times until we reached the treeline on Jewell Trail. The sun transformed the snow pretty quickly. It was slippery on the way down on Jewell Trail, but the trail was in better shape than we expected. Amazing day with plenty of sun and not too crowded! |
