Comments
Comments: Great April conditions today. Cold temps last night and early this morning had the trail down low solid( no mud) and after about 1 mile in, we put on spikes for most of the hike. Snow pack was solid, making for perfect conditions for early spring. No need for snowshoes even up on the ridge. A bit of mashed potatoes snow in sunny spots but minimal postholing. There are some old frozen post holes on the trails to watch out for, some were 2 feet deep! Might want snowshoes for warmer temps this coming week. Last mile out, we took off spikes and walked out with a bit of mud on our boots. We did see the monorail hinting at making its return soon in a few sections. Happy Spring!
