|Hiking Trail Conditions Report|
||Mt. Cabot, NH|
||York Pond Trail, Bunnell Notch Trail, Kilkenny Ridge Trail|
|Date of Hike:
||Wednesday, April 5, 2023|
|Parking/Access Road Notes:
||York Pond Road is free of snow and ice, and is not yet muddy. It is terrific!
||Snow - Packed Powder/Loose Granular, Snow/Ice - Postholes |
||Snowshoes, Light Traction |
|Water Crossing Notes:
||Lots of little open drainages to cross. |
|Trail Maintenance Notes:
||The new blazes, between the cabin and the summit, definitely help with the trail finding - thank you!
There are a few leaners on KRT and one on Bunnell Notch; none are new and all are stable. |
|Lost and Found:
||Nothing today. ||
||Lots of postholes … from a very recent moose visit. Very recent. I was happy that I didn’t see it! Otherwise the trail is really nicely packed. The rain and then temperature drop, tonight, will be fabulous for trail conditions. |
