A super-quick outing, grabbing this one early for my April grid. Lovely sun to start out, but things overhead thickened up by the summit. Still, being outside in shirtsleeves again is wonderful. New England weather is what it is (and should never be underestimated) but winter's grip continues to slip. Some mashed potatoes in the very early stretches, a tiny bit of snowballing underfoot, but that all went away for good by the time I crossed the upper drainage. From then on, the snow was solid and I got great traction with virtually no slippage. |
