The temperature was in the 20’s when we started so the trail was hard packed. It was very cold and windy, but below tree line was comfortable. Spikes/Hillsounds were perfect. Once at the lookout and heading up to the tower, the snow was a bit less packed, but spikes were still fine. The stairs heading up to the tower were totally encrusted with ice. Be very careful if you decide to head up. The views were incredible on this cold, bluebird day. |
