Comments
Comments: Parked at Garfield Trail Head. No hard packed snow until about 2500 feet. Used micro spikes over upper 1/2 of Mt Garfield Trail.

Came over Garfield Ridge Trail was lucky to fine it tracked out by folks going to Garfield Tent Site. Trail was wet snow and a little ice but overall quite fast.

Met Jim Towle and Hiker Ed on Gale Head descended Gale River Trail with them. The bottom of the new section of Gale River Trail is quite muddy.
Thanks Jim for the ride back to my car.
