Comments: We wore snowshoes all day. They were definitely needed below tree line. Above tree line you could choose whatever traction you’d like. We kept with the snowshoes and didn’t regret it. Some drifting, but nothing too crazy. A little bony in a few spots. Once we were descending in the warm afternoon the trail was extremely slushy. Snowshoes worked surprisingly well with very little botting…I think it was too warm/slushy to actually clump up.
