Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: A few duck-under and walk-arounds here and there but nothing crazy for this time of year. The trail is very easy to lose near the bogs on Webster Cliff trail just north of Jackson summit - minimal blazing and no distinct corridor with the snow pack. The section between the hut and Jackson summit could definitely benefit from a fresh set of blazes.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Maddie had a great day - no issues for winter hardy canines

Lost and Found
Lost and Found: LOST: One Black Diamond gray and blue women's hiking pole - it probably fell off of my pack on the upper half of the Webster branch of Webster-Jackson trail, but there's a small chance it's between Jackson and Webster. If found please email me or leave it at the Highland Center front desk, much thanks!

Comments
Comments: The plan for Pierce and Eisenhower turned into Pierce, Jackson and Webster because of the gusty winds above treeline (they picked up earlier than Obs predicted) - it was a good call as the ridge walk to Ike would not have been fun. Crawford Path was well packed with a light dusting of fresh snow up to treeline, then the usual drifts to the junction then hardpack and windblown snow/ice up to Pierce summit - spikes to the summit then we switched to snowshoes, but probably should have switched just before breaking treeline. Pierce to Webster was its usual choppy winter self, bit worse from Pierce to the hut but easily managed with snowshoes - the snow pack on Pierce summit and the drifts at Mizpah hut are very impressive. We wore snowshoes back to 302 but could have switched back the spikes at the Webster-Jackson split. Despite the weather and mix of trail conditions it was a great day, only saw two other people.

Also please see note above about the lost pole, I would be most grateful to get it back!
