Comments
Comments: Nineteen mile brook trail and carter dome trail were very well packed. We put on snowshoes upon reaching the carter moriah trail as it was soft. We went out and back to carter dome, and skipped hight since it was completely unbroken ad looked difficult to navigate. The hike from zeta pass over towards south carter was hardly broken out since the last storm. The new snow wasn't very deep though. Two of us broke trail from zeta pass over to the bottom of the north carter trail. This part of the hike was difficult to navigate since it was unbroken. There were many fallen trees on trail and sharp branches stabbing us in the face. The north carter trail in particular had some very narrow sections where we had to push our way through branches at face and chest level. Thankfully, the imp trail was well broken out though there were still some section where you would posthole without snowshoes. Bring your snowshoes!
