No major stream crossings on the trail. All minor crossings either still had snow bridges or water level was so low that crossing was very easy. |

Trail was in great shape. |

There was one dog on the trail that was off-leash, but it was very well behaved. |

The trail was very stable and and in great shape. There was about 1" of new snow at the trailhead, so microspikes worked great until about 3,500' where there was about 2-3" of new snow. Microspikes still worked for traction and I didn't posthole, but snowshoes would have been better for the final ascent to Starr King and along the ridge to the summit of Mt. Waumbek. |
