8 of us spent the night at Lonesome Lake hut on Saturday with 38 other people. Got a mid morning start on Sunday with the sun trying to make an appearance. It eventually gave up and we got wind and some blowing snow on the ridge, but nothing crazy. Trail was unbroken from the night’s snow, but only a couple new inches. Good pack underneath. Snowshoes were a must for me a I hate walking in loose powder, but it didn’t seem to phase literally everyone else we saw that came after us. Lonesome Lake Trail is a Highway as usual. |
