Water Crossing Notes: All crossings are open but otherwise hoppable. Tough going today with the new concrete snow that fell last night
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: A few blowdowns, however there is 5' of snow on the ridge so tough to gauge how many would be impactful when the snow ebbs sometime around June.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: There are a few ice bulges hiding underneath the snow but I do not think Ruger would have any issues

Comments: A MARVELOUS day was had in the Sandwich Wilderness. We laid out fresh tracks, I wouldn't say broke out, but it was about 2" newly fallen concrete. An excellent excuse to skip leg day this week as every step had 2-3 pounds of extra snow on them. Thanks to CaptChris for cutting steps into the steeps. We ran into an awesome Mom/Daughter combo on the way in and they caught up to us a few times. Also ran into Splash (Get well soon Brittycent), Bradygirl1 and Bogboy! The trail is a bit circuitous on the ridge line, especially in the area of Scaur Trail, but it gets you there. We tried to find the trail without aid of our Happy Machine (phone). All in all an exceptional day, we managed to dodge most of the heavy artillery fire of the snow falling on the way out. Eleven sets of snowshoes where on trail today and it will not consolidate for a bit. One dude in microspikes started at about 1430, so likely he is having an amazing time wrecking everything we did - thanks dude. Way to soft for that and far more efficient with the shoes, even with the leg day workout.
