Comments
Comments: Except for the first 100 yds of ice getting up the slab from the TH the Carter Moriah trail was a smooth solid sidewalk, literally. The last persons down used sleds and left a smooth surface which was perfect for Hillsounds. No hope for bare boots. Neil and I carried our snowshoes out and back just for conditioning. Excellent butt sledding on the steeps. One set of spiked boots (at least) came up from Stony Brook. It also looked excellent. If you cannot get up Moriah now you never will be able to.
Presies were in the clouds, views could have been better.
