 | Comments: |
LWT had only a ski track in the morning. About 6-8in of fresh powder snow on the trails, with 6-12in higher, and just a couple of deeper drifts closer to summit. Broke trail on Black Pond, BP bushwhack and Lincoln Brook Tr, then two other separate hikers came up, passed me and broke it to the OH summit. Two other hikers later in the afternoon, with all of us in snowshoes, so entire hike well broken now. Wore snowshoes on all except LWT. On LWT in evening on way out, it started to feel like a hint of Spring, with some bird sounds and a slight earthy smell. |
