Comments
Comments: Finished our ssw48 today! Parked at wildcat ski area and road walked to camp dodge (tried our thumbs at hitch hiking but no luck). Camp Dodge to Imp was partially broken and better after we went through. We were happy to find Imp well broken out, really nice track. North Carter was the same until we caught up with a large group, once we passed them only a single set of snowshoe tracks and even those stopped shortly. So we broke the last .4 to Carter Moriah and then over to Middle and South, we were the first ones since the storm so deep snow. Hopefully the large group behind us continued and broke it out fully. There were tracks once we got to South heading to Zeta and we passed a group of 5 heading up to South so that is in decent shape now. Carter Dome and down to hut and over Wildcats was well broken out. Snowshoes still the way to go on all these trails. Snowpack is pretty high now and tree branches laden with snow hanging low and dripping, so expect to get wet and prodded and poked at higher elevation.
