Parking/Access Road Notes: Parked at the condos, couldn't find the "visitor" spots so with barely any residents in the condos at the moment, took a spot I thought would be out of the way, had no issues for a few hours.

Surface Conditions: Snow - Unpacked Powder, Standing/Running Water on Trail, Snow - Drifts, Snow/Ice - Postholes

Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: Clear Brook is open, crossable on rocks. Few minor crossings were jumped. 
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: old trail is in very good shape.

Dog-Related Notes: One resident walking her dog, all super friendly.

Bugs: None 
Lost and Found
Lost and Found: Lost my peppermint Burts Bees lip balm! Tore my pants on the bushwhack (spruce), must have fallen out then.  
 
Comments
Comments: Posting this write up just to let others know the old Osseo Trail is snowshoe broken out to the col around ~2,800' before the old trail swings up toward the summit of Whaleback.
~16" of fresh powder atop an old ice layer once the climbing began, sometimes more, sometimes less powder.

Open conifer woods atop Whaleback South Peak; ghastly bushwhacking from ~2,500-summit of Big Coolidge - beautiful open hardwoods down low though ;)
