Long day. Left my car at Beaver Brook parking area then biked 4.3 miles to 7 Dwarfs. Not a great start but better than riding back in a snow storm which didn't materialize. Trail conditions were perfect and wanted to grab these 3 peaks before the anticipated storm. Sun poked its head out on and off all day, mild temps, mild wind. I got lucky. But I'm *&$)_&*% beat. Only saw 3 other hikers. 22, 23 and 24 winter peaks. Oh...barebooted a couple of miles on N.Twin before hitting the softer sections then snow shoes the rest of the day which was much easier in that soft snow pack. |
