There was a newish snow basket on the trail on the way up, maybe 30 minutes from the trail head. Left it there. It was gone when I came down.  |

A gorgeous day on the Twins. I had planned to just go up North Twin, but felt good at that summit, so I went over to South Twin.
Trail was well-packed. I used snowshoes from the trailhead to the summits and back, bare-booting between Seven Dwarfs and the trailhead. But spikes would have been fine, too.
Surprisingly few people up at the top on such a beautiful day. Rose and her owner, one group of three young men, and one large-ish group (ten or so). Mostly I hiked in beautiful silence with spectacular views from both Twins.
Two groups of snowmobiles blasted past me on the road walk, but they were considerate.
