Original plan was just Jefferson, but the conditions were perfect & Erik needed Adams for winter, so we went for it. All trails in great shape Jewel & Valley Way were perfect. We used snowshoes on both, spikes on the others. 1st time across the Jefferson snowfield in winter, crampons & an ice would have been best, but we didn't plan on this. Someone opted to climb up & over the sketchiest section from the Adams side. Trail was a little hard to follow in places with lots of different tracks. Some wind today but not terrible. Worst was on Jefferson. Stunning day for this extended hike above tree line. Lot of familiar faces out enjoying mild conditions & beautiful views! With the weather coming conditions will change. Great day was had with Erik!!
