Comments
Comments: Amazing day to be in the Presidentials! Took valley way up to the hut, most of the adjoining trails on valley way were not broken out. Valley way was well packed down but snowshoes were the best choice all day and 99% of people were wearing them. Trail was less consolidated at higher elevations so they were definitely needed. At the hut, took the Airline trail to summit of Adam’s which was a little tricky to follow but a lot of people went up after me so I think it is more obvious now. Snowshoes worked for this part of the trail but spikes also would have worked. The trail to Madison was similar condition as Adam’s where snowshoes were clunky but probably the best choice. With the warm temps and hot sun, the snow started to get sticky in the afternoon but still couldn’t have asked for a better day!
