Comments
Comments: Parked at upper side lot at Cannon base. Snowshoes the whole way in nice textured snow. We went straight up the main Mittersill trail and intersected Jr's track at the top of the new lift. A little bony over the Mittersill ridge. A bit of wind and in the clouds at summit so we did not linger long. Very fun descent with giant moonsteps in the soft forgiving snow. Kind of felt like snowshoe 101 at times..who knew that poles would help on ascent... Followed the access road route down with a somewhat easier grade and had some nice views to the north. Happy Thanksgiving hike out with Tim and Val..Several skiers that hiked up the trails out enjoying the fresh snow as well
