Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: I parked at seven dwarves, paid the $10 and had the same thought that BHCGirl stated about the recent smash and grabs. I felt my car was more safe along a housed road.
Surface Conditions
Surface Conditions: Snow - Packed Powder/Loose Granular, Snow - Unpacked Powder, Snow - Drifts
Recommended Equipment
Recommended Equipment: Snowshoes
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: All hoppable or bridged. As I was walking along the river reminiscing about my blundered crossings of the past and being thankful for the tree bridge, I came across the third crossing where the snowshoe track went across. It was bridged and fine. There are no sign of tracks to the tree bridge.

Comments
Comments: It was a calm, bright sunny day for this hike with great views all around from N&S Twin. Booted to and from the bridge T/H and car then snowshoes in between. The trail was broken out with about an inch of light, fluffy, sparkly powder on top until it wasn't. Up near the top of North Twin, the light, fluffy, sparkly powder drifted into knee and shin high drifts for a good stretch until it settled out back to a trough with a bit more powder. The trees going up North and over to South had a pretty good amount of snow on them; then on me. I was happy to see another hiker about halfway going to South doing and out and back from the opposite direction. I started down Twinway then broke a snowshoe...grrrrr. It broke as I was pretty far down the hill, about 1/4 mile from the hut so I had to climb back up about 1/2 mile....double grrrrr. It was slow going on the way out with a floppy snowshoe. My second break this season and third in three seasons. I'm starting to get disenchanted with MSR. It was nice chatting with Lynn on her way to South as I was coming out and glad to see her walking down the road as I pulled away.
