 | Trail Maintenance Notes: |
There is one large leaning widowmaker about a mile up Glenncliff Trail that I didn't recall last fall on this trail. Not much can be done with it until the small tree supporting it throws in the towel. |

Saw one pup with a group of skiers. |

Snowshoes all day. There were a few sets of snowshoe tracks on Glenncliff from those who started up earlier and looked to be broken out yesterday. The snow from Thursday looked to be 3-4" of powder increasing to 8" higher up. Some bigger drifts once on the Carriage Road, which were mostly broken out by skiers. Approaching the summit there is hard glare ice.
Heading back down Glenncliff we crossed paths with a pair heading up in bare boots with huge packs on their backs, which really chopped up the trail. Further down was another large group (DOC?) all in boots. Hopefully more snowshoes tomorrow smooths it out again.
Cold on the summit but at least the wind wasn't howling. |
