| Comments: |
The first couple miles were very easy going. Leading up to North Tripyramid there were a few steep sections that were well packed, bordering on icy, but easily managed with light traction. The trail from Pine Bend Brook Trail through Middle Tripyramid was well broken by many hikers.
The trail between Middle Tripyramid and South Peak left something to be desired. It was not packed. It was mostly foot prints (no evidence of showshoes), with some post holing. It looked like this trail continued on towards Whiteface, but I turned around at South Peak. |
