Almost all recent blowdowns cleared. Thank you to the trail angel that did this! There are two left, one that can easily be walked around, the other easily walked under. |
|
 | Dog-Related Notes: |
Saw one very good boy having a very good day. If summiting, use caution above treeline; it’s incredibly icy. |
|
 | Bugs: |
If there were any, they were likely blown off the face of the earth in the wind gusts. |

A fun combination of almost-spring conditions, but in great shape, considering the winter we’ve had. Mud and dry trail near the field. Dust on crust and soft-ish snow, not quite mashed potatoes, to Carriage. Looks like someone had a posthole party early on, because the trail is pretty uneven. Carriage to treeline is drifted over but just barely. It’s in really good shape. Treeline to the summit is ice, ice, baby. No dust. Hillsounds did the job, but if your spikes aren’t sharp, you’re in for a wild ride. Spikes car to car. |
