Airline, Crawford Path, Osgood trail
Ascended Airline.. this trail is hard-packed until treeline… then intermittent rock & ice.. cairns are spread out enough so that in reduced visibility they may be hard to locate for the last .9 mile to the summit.. the summit cone was hard packed with a few ice patches (avoidable)..Crawford Path to the Hut was also well packed.. the Osgood trail from the Hut to Madison’s summit had considerably more ice than Adams.. Tracy switched over to K-10’s while I felt comfortable in my newer Hillsounds.. Valley Way was well packed and made for a quick descent |
