  | Dog-Related Notes: |
This is a fairly easy trial for dogs. There is one heavy log ladder which is more ladder than stairs. Lauky handled it fine. I remember years back that my Airedale Duffy chose to simply go up the cliff. The water on the trail was mostly frozen but Lauky handled hydration by eating snow.  |

  | Comments: |
On Saturday there was a light covering of snow at the trailhead. Above the hut and up to the summit there was about a half inch of snow. By Saturday afternoon the snow had mostly melted below the hut.

Many used light traction above the hut. There was quite a bit of ice. I barebooted the whole way not wanting to kill my spikes. I did slip once coming down but for the most part made it pretty well without extra traction. Something like Yaxtrax would have been better suited to the conditions.   |
