A steady climb, with only a few minor patches of ice to be negotiated. Easy to do without MicroSpikes. There are a few narrow or awkward spots on the trail where trees have fallen and created obstacles or minor blockage (the more serious near the top of the switchbacks leading out of the valley), but both were passable with relatively minor effort.
Got up to the top of Hale in maybe 75 minutes, and back down in 2/3rds that time; all in all an easy hike and a great day for it! |
