Wonderfully warm going up, cold and windy at the summit but clear. We used a combination of snowshoes/spikes as needed and used just about every layer in our packs. Lots of clothing changes.
As the day warmed up, we were primarily in snowshoes going up and spikes going down.
After summiting the Moose, we headed over to South Peak, packed powder made for an easy snowshoe up.
Going down, the trail was primarily turning to slush, making for very slippery travel regardless of traction.
Stay safe out there and happy hiking!!!!! |
