 | Comments: |
Morning the trail was hard packed for the first two miles and the section before you break tree line was some softer snow, some post holes present. The knife edge section was pretty iced over . Spikes required. Crampons were tough due to rocks in sections. The final mile was hard packed snow in sections with deep snow immediately off the trail. Final half mile up was crusty snow over the rocks. Wore crampons the entire way. Which were good until the last mile down to the car . Probably should have switched to my snow shoes , as the warmer temps softened the snow. |
