Comments
Comments: Majority of hikers we saw returning while heading up were wearing spikes. A few people in snowshoes. I wore mine the entire hike, mostly because I’m lazy. They are not necessary on Rocky Branch unless you step off the packed trail. It’s been warm enough that many of the little streams are opened up and you have to step over. Some small patches have melted down to the ground. I’d say about 90% of the post holes were to the sides of the packed trail.
