Perfect day for my first time up Glencliff. Bareboots @ start with transition to micros after 45 minutes, then to s'shoes for the steep up to junction (for the heelevators only). Kept them on for S peak and woods walk towards the N peak, then dropped pack/s'shoes, switched to micros, which stayed on for the descent until the last mile, as the sun-dappled trail softened the snow and balled up the micros.
Overall, a grand day out with 2/3 of my adult children. |
