Comments
Comments: PSA: YOU WILL NEED SNOWSHOES. The snow is very post-holy above 2000' and it will be an absolute sufferfest to try and skip them.

3 of us hiked in to about 2000' feet on friday afternoon, camped, then summitted Bondcliff in the morning. 45F at trailhead friday, which made spring snow like conditions. Everything is pretty well cement before franconia falls bridge. Put on snowshoes there, and the were needed. The trail was a little chewed up, but had been gone over with snowshoes tue and thu so wasn't bad (thanks!). Got better on saturday above 2000' and was pretty ideal by the time we got to the long sidehill. There are some places before the last water crossing (it's completely frozen with no hope of filling up there) that were pretty drifted and felt like breaking trail. The summit was extremely windy and pushing us around. We weren't feeling up to a longer hike after some camping misfortunes the night before, so we settled for the one peak. Beauty of a day. Took off shoes when we got back to the bridge. Lincoln woods was concrete and a little slippery on the way out, but didn't bother with spikes.
