 | Comments: |
Drive up looking at blowing snow and little visibility only to get on trail and get clear skies and diminishing winds as the day wore on. Actually got to spend a good chunk of time on South Twin which is ALWAYS windy and were quite comfortable. Trails were broken and the snowshoers have helped tremendously. Nice clean track most of the way. A bit choppy coming out Gale River tr, but the road walk was a dream. Saw 5 people total, but guessing several were ahead. Snowshoes the whole day until I broke one low on Gale River (thank god) and had to bare boot the rest. Saw a couple in spikes heading up to South Twin from Galehead and not having any issues. Absolutely stunning day!!! |
